How-to Create Multiple Email Addresses with One Email

If you’ve been trying to obtain another Twitter, Myspace or any other Website account, you probably know that you are required to associate a different email address for each one you create. Luckily, if you have a Gmail email address, there is a simple workaround to this problem.

So, let’s say your Gmail email address howtodou@gmail.com. If you add a dot (.) anywhere in the username, all email messages will still reach your inbox. In other words, any of these and other related email addresses will still make it to your account:
  • howto.dou@gmail.com
  • h.owtodou@gmail.com
  • how.to.dou@gmail.com
  • h.o.w.t.o.d.o.u@gmail.com

More options...

Use the plus sign + at the end of your name and adding any extra characters.
  • howtodou+1234@gmail.com
  • howtodou+abcd@gmail.com

Use the “@googlemail.com” Domain Name.
  • howtodou@googlemail.com
  • howto.dou@googlemail.com
  • howtodou+1234@googlemail.com

Test these out for yourself and see what works best for you. All the variations above are from the same Google email account and will all end up in the yourname@gmail.com Gmail Inbox.

Here’s a further explanation by Google.
