How-to Open Files and Folders with Single Click in Windows & Ubuntu

A simple tutorial with images will show you how to have folders and files open in Windows xp/vista/7/8 or Ubuntu with a Single Click instead of having to Double Click on the icon.

By default, the mouse is configured to use the (Double-click to open an item) setting in Windows or Ubuntu. To configure the mouse to use the (Single-click to open an item) setting, follow these easy steps:

Windows :
  1. Click Start, and then click My Computer or My Documents.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
  3. On the General tab, click Single-click to open an item (point to select), and then click Apply / OK.
